Flipdesk 1.0
Flipdesk is a new web-based help desk system based around PHP and MySQL. It will run on any web platform that can utilize PHP, including Apache and IIS and run on either Windows-based servers, or Linux.
Flipdesk is currently in development. Below are some of the highlights of Flipdesk.

Searchable Knowledge Base
All notes and resolutions will be searchable to be used as a knowledge base -
Group-Based
Unlike other helpdesk systems, Flipdesk is group-based. All users belong to a primary group and, optionally, secondary groups. All tickets belong to either an individual or a group. No ticket ever sits unclaimed. Tickets can be reassigned to other users or groups. -
Active Directory/LDAP Integration
Access to Flipdesk can, optionally, be controlled through Active Directory (or other LDAP platform). Information stored in Active Directory/LDAP can be displayed in Flipdesk for individual users. -
Multi-site
Flipdesk is multi-site capable so that helpdesk technicians in all sites have access to the same system and data. -
Database Independent
Ultimately, Flipdesk will be able to operate using many popular databases, including: MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle. -
Customizable Alerts
Flipdesk will be able to send multiple alerts for a variety of reasons, including: New ticket opened, ticket open too long, assignment change and many others. -
Fully W3C Compliant
Flipdesk will be coded to meet W3C compliance and be as browser-independent as possible.
